The Geysers – Geothermal Energy
Geothermal power, “geo” meaning “from the earth” and “thermal” meaning “heat”, is energy that is derived from the heat of the earth's core. This form of energy is not only environmentally friendly and predictable; it offers a constant, dependable and renewable source of energy.
Geothermal loops according to the geology, hydrology and land availability
Geothermal heating is a practical and energy saving alternative for heating and cooling purposes. The ground or a nearby water source can be used as a heat sink in the warm months and as a supply of heat in the winter month.
A well is created by boring, driving, digging or drilling in the ground to reach water within underground aquifers.
What is an aquifer?
An aquifer is a layer of soft rock, for example, limestone and sandstone, which is capable of holding and diffusing large quantities of water. This layer of permeable rock which absorbs the water from an inlet path at a higher elevation, e.g. a mountain top, is trapped between layers of impermeable clay or rocks.
The benefits of PVC pipes In the 1920s, the inventors of vinyl were certainly unaware to what point this plastic would become essential to our everyday lives. Vinyl is fundamentally made up of chlorine and ethylene. Chlorine is derived from common salt and ethylene, from natural gas. This resourceful plastic material can be made into a rigid, flexible and even semi liquid product; it can be thick or thin, transparent or colourful.
Horizontal Directional Drilling..what is it Horizontal drilling, also known as H.D.D. or Utility Installation Directional Drilling, minimizes environmental impact and is often used when trenching or excavating is not a practical or viable option.
